Eileen Neill

Artist's Statement

After completing my BA in fine arts from Brock University 20 years ago I studied various aspects of fibre art and surface design at the Ontario College of Art and Algonquin College - from advanced quilt design and screen-printing, fabric dying and manipulation to soft sculpture, weaving and jewelry design. I continue to teach many surface design workshops. I am fascinated with the use of unusual, materials and experimental surface design methods. But the underlying question for me when I am creating art is always, “What is the essence of my subject?”
