Artist's
Statement
I
began my journey as a fibre artist with an education and
experience as a fashion designer. From traditional
quilting I found myself passionate about fibre, hand
embellishment, and free motion embroidery. I put hundreds
of hours into my work, working stitch by stitch, adding
lustrous threads and beads. My art takes on a life of its
own. Colour is a strong element in my work. There is a
sense of history with each piece that invites the viewer
to take a closer look and see the story that is to be
told.
