Pat Hertzberg
As a textile and mixed-media artist, I am absorbed in the process of fibre manipulation and embellishment, orchestrating colours, and creating unique textural surfaces. I am drawn simultaneously to simplicity and chaos, light, shadow and transparency. Much of my work is inspired by both micro and macro aspects of nature, and the juxtaposition of its immense power and delicate fragility. I believe that profound works of art result when mastery of technique is ignited with unfettered creative intuition, and it is continually my goal to try to meet these standards and strike this balance.
My work is shown internationally and has won a number of awards. It is represented in both corporate and private collections in Canada, USA, Great Britain, Mexico & Italy.
